Thank you for your interest in The Discovery Montessori School ! We hope that your review of our program, our curriculum, and the admissions process will be informative in helping you learn more about our school and our Classical Montessori curriculum.

Parents of the children enrolled at our school and living in Peel Region can also avail the childcare fee subsidy from the Region of Peel if they meet the eligibility requirements. Please visit the Region of Peel Childcare fee subsidy website for more information.
PARTICIPATION IN THE ONTARIO $ 10.00 PER DAY REDUCED SCHOOL FEE PROGRAM
We are pleased to let all parents know that The Discovery Montessori has enrolled in the Canada Wide Early Learning and Childcare (CWELCC) program. Participating in the CWELCC system will help us continue to provide high quality Child care that is accessible, affordable, inclusive and sustainable. As per the program guideline we have reduced our school base fee by 25 % from April 2022 to December 2022. Effective from 01, January 2023 onwards, a second fee reduction leading to a total fee reduction of 52.75% has become effective . AUTHENTIC MONTESSORI CURRICULUM
Children in our Montessori classes learn at their own individual pace and according to their own choice of activities from a variety of available selections. Learning is an exciting process of discovery, leading to concentration, motivation, self-discipline, and a love of learning. Our fundamental goal is to ensure that our children learn in a nurturing and non-competitive atmosphere.
Some of the major skills and subjects taught at the Discovery Montessori are reading, writing, science, geography, mathematics, music and introductory French.
ACCREDITATION
Our school is an Accredited Member in good standing of the Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators (CCMA), which is an endorsement of its meeting the highest quality standards, environment and best practices of an authentic and outstanding Montessori school.
Our school is also a proud member of the Region of Peel “Raising the Bar” – Childcare Quality Initiative. This program is geared towards enhancing the quality of early learning and childcare in the Region of Peel.
OUR STAFF
TRAINED & DEDICATED STAFF
All the teaching staff at the Discovery Montessori have received their training from accredited Montessori Training institutions and are highly qualified, professionally trained and experienced to cater to the unique learning requirements of each child. Our staff continuously provides new activities for the children that delight and stimulate their learning capabilities.
The school takes extra effort to maintain a healthy parent-staff relationship. Our goal is to ensure that, through this partnership, we develop, within each child, the attitude and skills required for a lifetime of curiosity in learning.
OUR INSPIRING MONTESSORI CLASSROOMS
Our main school building is a charming and beautifully crafted cedar wood log house nestled in a quiet and calm residential neighbourhood. Built quite a few years ago by a famous Log Homes company of British Columbia, it provides a comfortable home like relaxing atmosphere. All our classrooms are well-lit, clean, secure and peaceful and our outdoor play-ground, surrounded by trees, provides an open, safe, natural, green and healthy environment which is away from city’s noise, traffic and atmospheric pollution

HOT LUNCH AND SNACKS
We provide hot lunch and snacks to our children which are prepared daily on - site in our school kitchen from fresh organic vegetables, fruits, and dairy products. Our school menu is approved by a registered dietician and nutritionist and meets or exceeds Health Canada Food Guide serving requirements for grains, fruit, vegetables and dairy products. We also take extra efforts to accommodate any special dietary preferences and requirements of our enrolled children.
