SCHOOL CLOSINGS

Dear Parents

Due to the potential severe weather conditions and potential storm warning the PEEL District School Board has closed all schools in the Peel district on Friday 23 December . As a result the Discovery Montessori will also be closed on Friday 23 December 2022. Please do not send your child(ren). to school.

Have a very safe and happy winter holidays. The school will reopen on January 09, 2023.

During the winter months, due to severe weather conditions, we may need to close the school for the safety of our students and staff.

Please note that the pre-pandemic policy for school closure due to inclement weather is not applicable during the pandemic. On days with poor weather conditions, the school will inform the parents about the closure of the school because of  the stormy or icy road conditions through email early as early as possible in the morning. Please check your in-box before you head out to drop off your child on a snowy or icy day. The staff will make best efforts to inform you ahead of time for any warning or confirmed snow storm coming our way; we will alert you to be mindful of the situation and check your email for a possible snow day.
